I-O Data presents its variants of SDHC cards: 8 and 4 GB

I-O Data Corporation, which for a long time stayed away from the “capacity race” of SDHC flash memory cards, came out with two new products at once: SDHC-8G and SDHC-S4G.

The first (SDHC-8G) provides a capacity of 8 GB and corresponds to the second SDHC class, that is, it provides a write speed of at least 2 MB / s. It is expected to cost around $ 320.

The second (SDHC-S4G) provides half the capacity, but three times the speed – at least 6 MB / s for writing. The cost of the card is about $ 190.

Together with both comes the DataSalvager LE software, which allows you to recover (to a limited extent) data lost due to failures in flash memory. Both also support SDMI copyright protection technology.
