NAMM 2021: Alesis MultiMix – Two USB 2 Models.0 mixers with per-channel recording
In addition to the Multimix FireWire and USB mixer line, Alesis is releasing two new models with USB 2 support.0. New items have two options: 8 and 16 channels (the number of microphone channels – 4 and 8, respectively).
USB 2.0 interface provides higher bandwidth, and also allows you to record 10 and 18 channels of channels separately, in 24-bit formats 44.1-96 kHz. Stereo return is monitored from the computer. Other parameters match other MultiMix models, including 100 presets of 28-bit effects (reverb, delay, chorus, flanger).
Plug and Play in Windows XP and Mac OSX makes driver installation unnecessary. Stripped down Steinberg Cubase LE included.
MSRP – $ 499 and $ 799. This is the level of FireWire versions, but about twice the cost of mixers with USB 1.1 interface, deprived of the possibility of per-channel recording.
