ARM Artisan Family of Physical Layer Interfaces adds another product to pass semiconductor manufacturer’s rigorous examination. We are talking about ARM Velocity – a memory interface tested in practice in TSMC’s 90nm general-purpose process. Notably, ARM Velocity DDR1 / 2 is the first 90nm physical layer interface to pass TSMC QA.
ARM Velocity DDR1 / 2 solutions include several sets of programmable blocks, which, according to the developer, are characterized by high signal integrity and support for high-speed operating modes. The interface provides optimal performance for a variety of SDRAM applications, including memory modules for PCs, network equipment and servers. The maximum bandwidth reaches 800 Mbps.
ARM Velocity DDR1 / 2 interface for 90nm process is available to customers. The corresponding technical solutions can be downloaded for free from the ARM website (of course, we are talking about customers licensed to use ARM developments).
