New information about NVIDIA GeForce 8600

New data continues to emerge regarding upcoming NVIDIA eighth series GPUs for the mid-range – GeForce 8600 (G84). According to the source, the information about these devices, which appeared on the Web a week ago, is not entirely correct.

It is assumed that the G84 will still have a 128-bit memory interface, rather than a 256-bit one. This is quite consistent with NVIDIA’s established tradition of preserving the PCB design for the GeForce x600 (and a recent photo of the GeForce 8600 confirms this fact).

According to VR-Zone, there will be two versions of the GeForce 8600 – 8600GT and 8600GS, for which the nominal core and memory frequencies will be 650/1800 MHz and 550/1400 MHz, respectively. Both GPUs will include 64 unified shader processors.

Let us remind you once again that the information was obtained from unofficial sources, and therefore we cannot vouch for its reliability.
