The Casio Exilim family adds pink and blue

Casio has introduced two more ultra-compact cameras Exilim EX-Z1050 and Exilim EX-Z75, not much different from their many sisters of the huge Exilim family.

The first of them, Exilim EX-Z1050, continues the tradition of the company’s first 10-megapixel “ultra-compact” – Exilim EX-Z1000, a review of which is available on our website. The design of both “10-megapixel cameras” has something in common, but, oddly enough, the novelty received a new lens, a new one (of lower quality!) LCD display and, most importantly, a new CCD sensor, the dimensions of which are now 1 / 1.75 instead of the usual 1 / 1.8 inch.

The camera will also be offered in such color options as blue and pink. The start of sales is scheduled for March. Exilim EX-Z1050 will cost about $ 300.

Specifications Casio Exilim EX-Z1050:

  • Sensor: 1 / 1.75 “CCD, 10.1MP
  • Lens: 3x zoom, 7.9 – 23.7 mm (38 – 114 mm in 35 mm equiv.), f / 2.8 – f / 5.14
  • Digital Zoom: 4x
  • Maximum image resolution: 3648×2736 (4: 3), 3648×2432 (3: 2), 3648×2048 (16: 9) pixels

  • Display: TFT, 2.6 “diagonal, 115 thousand. pixels
  • Power: Built-in rechargeable lithium-ion battery
  • Dimensions: 91.1×57.2×24.2 mm
  • Weight: 125g (without battery and memory card)

The second novelty, Casio Exilim EX-Z75, is almost indistinguishable from its predecessor, the Exilim EX-Z70. Remained the same “dark” lens and 1 / 2.5-inch 7.1-megapixel CCD sensor. LCD increased up to 2.6 inches diagonally. Its aspect ratio is now 14: 9. Added support for SDHC memory cards.

As well as for the “older” model, for the Exilim EX-Z75 will be available in such (apparently popular) colors as pink and blue. Sales of new items will start in March. Expected price – $ 230.

Specifications Casio Exilim EX-Z75:
