Microsoft: Windows Media Player v.eleven.0.5721

Microsoft has released a new official version of its development – the eleventh series of Windows Media Player.

Windows Media Player 11 for Windows XP offers incredible choice and flexibility in digital media. It allows you to easily manage libraries of digital music files, photos and videos on your computer and take your collection with you.

Ease of implementation

Windows Media Player 11 has been designed with the needs of a variety of users in mind, from digital media beginners to discerning audiophiles with huge collections of music on their computers. During the development process, a number of significant changes were made to the player’s user interface, which provide easier and more understandable navigation through the content and make the work with the product even more comfortable.

  • Improved form and quick call

To simplify the Windows Media Player interface, classic menus are now disabled by default, but can be displayed by right-clicking anywhere in the player window.

  • Quick access to settings

To display the menu items that refer to the operations corresponding to a tab (Now Playing, Library, Rip CD, Burn and Sync), right-click or click the down arrow for the corresponding tab. This new feature provides quick access to commonly used player features and eliminates the need to navigate through multiple menu levels.

  • Versatile forward and backward buttons
  • Status area

With one click, you can change the appearance of the status area in the lower left corner of the player screen to a thumbnail image of an equalizer, album art or playback control.

  • Improved playback controls

More music you love

Convenient smart features in Windows Media Player 11 give you the ability to breathe new life into your music collection and enjoy digital media just the way you want it. New design offers simple solutions to manage your digital library and maximizes its capabilities.

  • Simplified library navigation

Windows Media Player 11 includes a number of improvements to make it easier to organize your music files and find new ways to explore and view them. Music is now a separate category, and the navigation bar displays artists, albums, songs, genres, release years and ratings. You can customize the look of your music collection by right-clicking Library in the navigation pane and choosing Show Advanced Views.

  • Album cover views
  • Grouping

Albums with the same characteristics (album, genre, release year, etc.). d.) are displayed as groups. As a result, users get a clear visual sequence in which several albums are located under one title.

  • Album cover management
  • Customizable layout and library view

Perfect for large music collections

As digital music collections grow by ripping CDs, downloading songs from the Internet, and buying music from online stores, the challenge is to organize your music and quickly find the songs you want. Windows Media Player 11 is optimized for large digital music libraries of literally millions of tracks, allowing you to quickly navigate your entire collection without missing a beat.

  • Instant search
  • Improved means of identifying music from a short fragment
  • Rich playlists

New options for copying data from CDs

In addition to the existing formats for recording music files – Windows Media Audio, Windows Media Audio (Variable Bit Rate), Windows Media Audio Lossless and MP3 standards – Windows Media Player 11 allows you to record music in two more formats.

  • Windows Media Audio Pro
  • WAV (Lossless)

All entertainment in one place

In addition to working with music, Windows Media Player 11 offers new ways to store and use the full range of digital media: photos, videos, and recorded TV shows. A range of new features let you take full advantage of your digital media experience – play on your computer, organize easily in your library, transfer to portable devices for viewing on the go, or share across devices in your home.

  • Dedicated view modes for various types of media, including photos and videos
  • Improving working methods with simplified views

Digital entertainment is always with you

There are many significant benefits to storing your entire digital media collection in Windows Media Player, but what if you need to use your digital media library while away from your computer?? Windows Media Player 11 has innovative features that let you enjoy your library no matter where you are.

Connecting to portable devices

  • Synchronization
  • View device content
  • Random sync
  • Reverse sync
  • Guest sync
  • Sync indicator
  • Help icons and troubleshooting

Device management

Synchronizing portable devices with Windows Media Player 11 is easy. The player is equipped with an intelligent, easy-to-use “wizard” that guides users to sync the first time they connect a device. Just plug in one of over 100 Windows Media-enabled devices and Windows Media Player 11 will automatically recognize it and let you pick a name for your device. The player then opens the sync buffer by default with your device icon, thus ensuring quick and easy content syncing. You can drag content to the sync bar or use the Auto Sync feature.

Improved CD creation function

The ability to create your own CDs is one of the benefits of large digital music libraries. The Recording tab in Windows Media Player 11 has been improved to make this feature even easier to use.

When a user inserts a blank CD into the computer, a capacity indicator appears in the Burn list (similar to the indicator used during sync). When you drag digital media to the Recording list, the indicator changes accordingly. This allows you to rationally use disk space to accommodate the maximum number of records.

  • Level indicator
  • Copy function to multiple discs
  • Burning data to CD
