Samsung S630 and S730: stylish entry-level cameras

In addition to the relatively expensive and functional S1050 and S850 cameras, Samsung showed two more Point & Shoot twins at CES 2021 – the S630 and S730 models. Similarly to their older brothers, these devices differ from each other, first of all, in the resolution of the sensors, and outwardly they are practically indistinguishable.

ASR (Advanced Shake Reduction) function by increasing the value of the sensitivity when shooting allows you to reduce the exposure time and avoid “blur”, albeit at the cost of an increased level of noise. Moreover, in the “older” of this pair of models, the maximum possible sensitivity is 1000 ISO units, and in the “younger” – 400.

Another externally invisible difference is the resolution of the LCD. In the S730 model, it is 230 thousand. pixels, and in the S630 only 150 thousand. pixels. At the same time, the dimensions of the screens are identical – 2.5 inches diagonally.

The manual mode for selecting exposure parameters, as well as the shutter speed and aperture priority modes, is not provided in these models. Users will have to make do with only scene programs or a fully automatic shooting mode.

Sales of new products will begin in spring. The cost of the Samsung S630 camera will be about $ 180, and the S730 – about $ 200.
