Silverstone Olympia OP1000 – another kilowatt power supply

Silverstone introduced the new Olympia OP1000 power supply for both server systems and modern PCs equipped with multi-core CPUs and multiple GPUs. As the name implies, the maximum power of the novelty is 1000 W (at an ambient temperature of up to +50 ° C). Peak power reaches 1100 W.

Intelligent 80mm fan controller adjusts fan speed based on current consumption. In this case, the noise at 300 W is 25 dBA, and at 1000 W – 42 dBA. What prevented the manufacturer from using a quieter, larger fan, we do not know, but this noise level cannot be called acceptable.

Contrary to the latest trend of power supply manufacturers to provide the user with several independent + 12V power lines, Olympia OP1000 has only one, but with a maximum current of 80 A (88 A peak).

There is no data on the price of new items yet.
