Thermaltake: “world’s first” water block for GeForce 8800GTX
Thermaltake Announces World’s First NVIDIA GeForce 8800GTX Water Block – TMG ND4. Those who follow the news are well aware that Thermaltake’s marketers were “a little mistaken” by awarding the new product. Let’s remember, for example, BFG GeForce 8800 GTX Water Cooled with a water block manufactured by Danger Den, German Silenx and, finally, Thermaltake Tide Water, which will be used in the ASUS video card.
TMG ND4 is not only a copper water block made with Brazing Technology, but also an aluminum heatsink and a 60mm fan. “Waterblock” removes heat from the GPU and memory chips; the device is connected to the water cooling system using 1/4 “or 3/8” pipes (adapters are included). It is reported that the noise of a fan rotating at 2000 rpm./ min, is only 18 dBA.
The presence of a fan can be called a reassurance, on the other hand, air handling units can be of different efficiency, and the TMG ND4 has a rather difficult task on its “shoulders”.
