I’m running Analog OUT on my Digi Rack out via balanced cables to a “tube” mic-pre I don’t use anymore, just to get a little tube warmth/saturation into my in the box track mixing. It’s a fairly new effort, but I’m liking the extra “fatness” – I port back to Analog IN and have a buss called “Out2Tube”. We would like to show you a description here but the site won’t allow more. Mac OS X Leopard will be released in early March?

According to the ThinkSecret website, Apple’s next operating system is launching Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard – will be held in early March.

ThinkSecret also says it will partner with Leopard to release updates to its iWork ’07 and iLife ’07 app suites. In past years, the company presented new versions of these packages at the January Macworld, but this year their release was somewhat delayed. The reason for this, according to various sources, was the increased functionality of the programs requiring longer testing, as well as tight integration with the new technologies of Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard.

Moreover, according to ThinkSecret, the initial release of iWork ’07 and iLife ’07 was scheduled for January, however, testing of some components, including the new spreadsheet editor, showed that the packages still contain a large number of flaws.

According to ThinkSecret sources, one of the Leopard technologies used in iWork and iLife is the Core Animation subsystem, which will help you create documents with a lot of animated content. However, the possibility of dropping support for earlier versions of operating systems with new packages looks very unlikely.

Recall that during the report on the results of the first quarter of the current fiscal year, Apple executives once again confirmed the company’s intentions to release Mac OS X 10.5 in spring.
