Some make money on wireless communication, others hope to earn money on protection from it

Consumer concerns about the harmful effects associated with the ubiquitous penetration of cell phones and wireless networks cannot go unnoticed by manufacturers. Exradia CEO James Lawler, commenting on the success of the company’s Wi-Guard technology, which is designed to protect mobile phone users from the harmful effects of electromagnetic fields (EMF), noted that 40% of consumers believe that EMF can be dangerous for their health.

The studies carried out do not yet give an unambiguous answer regarding the effect that EMFs have, but, according to Lawler, ignoring the available data on changes in physiology under their influence can harm both consumers and the industry as a whole. Lawler called EMF “cigarettes of the 21st century”, apparently hinting at the nature of the harm caused by exposure to EMF: it does not kill anyone immediately, but in the long run it can become a danger for too many.

What explains this concern for users? The company has developed technology that Exradia claims is effective in neutralizing the effects of EMF. The fact is that the EMF that occurs during the operation of electronic devices has a pulsating, regular nature. Such exposure can cause stress in the human body. Medical research has confirmed that pulsating EMF increases the likelihood of DNA strand breakage and inhibits the body’s ability to repair such breaks. At the same time, while scientists do not have a consensus on whether such gaps pose a danger in the long term. Exradia My Wi-Guard, already available as an option for the Nokia 6230i phone, suppresses pulsating EMFs, drowning them out with what it claims to be “harmless random electromagnetic noise.”.

The company proposes to implement My Wi-Guard in cell phones, PCs and laptops with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth headsets. The solution is suitable for integration both into the device itself and into a replaceable element, for example, into a battery. According to the manufacturer, the rise in the cost of the battery is insignificant – “at the price it is equivalent to a pack of cigarettes”. The cost of a ready-made battery with My Wi-Guard is about $ 70.

In addition to Wi-Guard, Exradia has developed another product – Wi-Space. This is a kind of “coil” designed for installation above the ceiling or under the floor. It is said to “dissipate an EMF cloud” in rooms up to 200-250 sq.m. Wi-Space cost – about 10 thousand. Doll.

You can treat Exradia in different ways, given that its developments raise too many questions from any more or less technically educated person, but one should pay tribute to the entrepreneurial spirit of the creators of Wi-Guard and Wi-Space.
